Dartmouth Community Concert Association

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada

The Dartmouth Community Concert Association is an organization of volunteers dedicated to providing outstanding musical performances for our community and beyond.  In 2011-2012, the DCCA, founded in 1957, marks its 54th anniversary and thus continues into a second half-century of presenting a variety of high quality concerts.

Our 2011-2012 season promises to be both excellent and eclectic entertainment. The Canadian Guitar Quartet, reputedly one of the finest guitar ensembles in the world, opens the season on October 22, 2011.  Then, on November 26, 2011, the Rhapsody Quintet will offer a refreshing and diversified music program.  This ensemble never fails to please. The duo of James Hill (ukulele) and Anne Davison (cello) will join us on the evening of February 17, 2012 and their performance promises to be lively, humorous, original, varied and fun! This will be followed on April 29, 2012 with the performance of the Lucille Chung and Alessio Bax (one of the best piano duos of their generation). Finally, on May 11, 2012, David Greenberg (violin) and Chris Norman (flute) will entertain us with an imaginative and dynamic performance including Renaissance, Baroque, traditional and original music.

So, it looks promising and, if you are not yet a member of DCCA, please consider becoming one.  (A tip:  At the opening concert on October 22, you can apply the cost of your admission ticket to that concert toward the price of a membership for the entire year.)

On behalf of the Board of Directors, welcome to our 54th Anniversary Season!
